The cover photo is the earliest we have of the Magoffin. This was taken during her shake down cruise in 1944. She is in Pacific Camo paint. Thanks to D.L. Henry, who was a member of the commissioning crew.

Don Culpepper has provided us with over 900 photos from the Magoffin during the 66-67 time frame. Lots of great photos. Click here to see them.

Do you believe you were affected by Agent Orange while aboard the Magoffin? Thanks to the efforts of Richard Wood, BM2 the Magoffin is now on the Roster of "Agent Orange Alphabetized Ships List" on the US Department of Veterans Affairs website. http://www.publichealth.va.gov/exposures/agentorange/shiplist/list.asp#M

This listing should make a claim much easier to process through the VA.

Thanks to Richard for his hard work to get this accomplished.
